Medical Suites Global Topping Off Ceremony Held in BSD City

BSD City, 11 April 2026 – In line with the government’s plan to accelerate the transformation of the national healthcare sector through increased investment, medical technology innovation, and the development of world-class facilities, Sinar Mas Land is taking a strategic role through the development of Medical Suites in the Banten International Education, Technology and Health Special Economic Zone (Banten IETH SEZ), also known as the D-HUB Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in BSD City. This international-standard healthcare facility for medical services, research, and education has now reached finishing stage, marked by the topping off ceremony held on Friday, 10 April 2026. 

Present in the topping off ceremony were Acting Secretary General of the National Council for Special Economic Zones Rizal Edwin Manansang, Deputy Group CEO for Township Development of Sinar Mas Land Monik William, Deputy Group CEO for Strategic Development & Assets of Sinar Mas Land Herry Hendarta, Commercial BSD CEO of CEO Sinar Mas Land Anna Budiman, Sinar Mas Land Asset Management CEO Teky Mailoa, Lindawaty (Chief Operating Officer D-HUB SEZ), and Project Director of PT Tetra Konstruksindo Fritz Simatupang. The ceremony was carried out by symbolically mounting a golden nail and pouring cement using a golden shovel on the top floor of the Medical Suites. Rizal Edwin Manansang stated: “We appreciate all parties who have contributed to the development of Banten IETH SEZ through PT Surya Inter Wisesa (Development and Managing Enterprise/BUPP), as part of Sinar Mas Land, for successfully realizing the construction of Medical Suites. Since officially commencing operations in November 2025, up to December 2025 this SEZ has recorded realized investment worth IDR 1.19 trillion, employed 836 workers and hosted 14 businesses”. He added that today’s topping off marks an important milestone not only in the completion of the building structure, but also in showing tangible progress in the healthcare ecosystem.

Anna Budiman said: “We are proud that Medical Suites has reached the topping off stage, marking the completion of the main building structure. After successfully developing the Biomedical Campus (BMC), Medical Suites was designed as a living ecosystem integrating medical services, education, and innovation.” The Medical Suites is expected to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2026. The Medical Suites is the second healthcare-sector development by BUPP PT Surya Inter Wisesa after the BMC building. Currently, the BMC Building has achieved 100% occupancy for Tower Science, supported by tenants who have obtained Operational Licenses and foreign medical professionals who have received Practice Licenses. The Medical Suites will have six floors with a total building area of nearly 20,000 square meters. The suites offer flexible rental units ranging from 200 m² to 2,600 m². The building is designed to Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) standards, featuring optimal natural ventilation systems, full generator backup power, and high dead-load floor capacity to support advanced medical equipment.

Strategically located in D-HUB SEZ BSD City, Medical Suites offers various investment conveniences for local and global investors in the healthcare sector. Incentives offered include exemptions from corporate income tax, VAT, luxury goods sales tax, and import duties, as well as simplified licensing for foreign medical personnel, flexibility in importing equipment and medicines, and more flexible hospital and clinic classifications. Medical Suites is also connected to various shopping centers, office areas, and business districts in BSD City, including The Breeze, Green Office Park, AEON Mall BSD City, BSD CBD, ICE BSD City, QBig, The Barn, GrandLucky Superstore, Eastvara Mall, Novotel BSD City, Mercure BSD City, Hotel Santika Premiere ICE BSD City, Premiere, ibis Styles BSD City, and others. The area is also surrounded by national and international educational institutions such as IPEKA BSD City, Sampoerna Academy BSD City, Wellington College Independent School Jakarta, ACS Jakarta West Campus, Sinarmas World Academy, Jakarta Nanyang School, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya, Binus University, and Monash University Indonesia.

In terms of access, Medical Suites is integrated with major toll roads including the Serpong-Balaraja (Serbaraja) Sections 1A & 1B Toll Road, Jakarta–Serpong Toll Road connected to JORR 1, JORR 2 Toll Road, Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, and Jagorawi Toll Road. Public transportation access includes BSD Link buses, BSD City feeder buses, and the KRL Commuter Line via Cisauk Station and Jatake Station. Future connectivity will improve further with the planned Lebak Bulus–Serpong MRT line which is now in feasibility study phase.
