BSD City D-HUB SEZ Welcomes New Administrator

BSD City, 19 January 2026 – The Banten International Education, Technology and Health Special Economic Zone (Banten IETH SEZ) proudly welcomes new Administrators as a strategic step to strengthen governance and accelerate investment realization as well as the economic development of Banten and the nation. The inauguration reflects the commitment of the Banten IETH SEZ to become a superior, integrated, and highly competitive zone for domestic and international investors.

The inauguration ceremony of the Banten IETH SEZ Administrators chaired by Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and Chairman of the Executive Team of the National SEZ Council Susiwijono Moegiarso took place at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia on 15 January 2026. The officials appointed to fill the structural positions of the Banten IETH SEZ Administrator are:

    Candra Lesmana as Head of the Banten IETH SEZ AdministratorRoni Syah Putra as Head of the Subdivision of Business Licensing, Other Permits, and Non-LicensingDadi Supriyadi as Head of the Subdivision of Supervision and Control

Banten IETH SEZ Attracts IDR 1.08 Trillion Investment

Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and Chairman of the Executive Team of the National SEZ Council Susiwijono Moegiarso, stated:

“As of the third quarter of 2025, the Banten IETH SEZ has cumulatively recorded investments worth IDR 1.08 trillion. It is now employing 432 people and hosting 14 businesses engaging in various sectors. The achievements of Banten IETH SEZ show positive signals in terms of investment, business participation, and contribution to the regional economy. The role of the Administrators is highly strategic to ensure that the investment climate in Banten IETH SEZ remains favorable and that licensing processes and business services is managed smoothly, transparently, and accountably. With the completion of the Banten IETH SEZ Administrator lineup, we are optimistic that all administrative services and strategic agendas to encourage investment can run optimally, leading to even better performance in the future.”

The Banten IETH SEZ, also known as D-HUB SEZ (Special Economic Zone), is a 59.68-hectare Special Economic Zone in BSD City focusing on business sectors such as education, technology, healthcare, and the creative industry. The Banten IETH SEZ is being developed as an integrated ecosystem model in which international educational institutions and national academies serve as talent suppliers, while the digital, healthcare, and creative sectors create new employment opportunities. This model creates a sustainable flow of knowledge, innovation, and cross-sector collaboration in the future.

Head of the Banten IETH SEZ BUPP Lindawaty Chandra, added:

“For Banten IETH SEZ, the inauguration of the Administrators is a robust indication of the zone’s readiness to enter the investment acceleration phase. As a Special Economic Zone, the Banten IETH SEZ provides various investment conveniences for local and global investors to establish businesses in education, healthcare, technology, and the creative economy. The zone offers fiscal incentives including tax holiday/tax allowance, VAT exemption, import duty exemption, and excise exemption; as well as non-fiscal incentives including simpler licensing and bureaucracy, immigration convenience, and smoother movement of goods and labor. With stronger institutional foundations, we are optimistic that Banten IETH SEZ will become increasingly competitive in attracting investors in education, technology, healthcare, and the creative industry.”

Access to Banten IETH SEZ Supported by Toll Roads, Commuter Rail, and MRT

Strategically located in the heart of BSD City, the Banten IETH SEZ is connected to modern commercial centers such as The Breeze, AEON Mall BSD City, QBig, ICE BSD, BSD CBD, Green Office Park, and Unilever Campus. In addition, the zone is surrounded by international educational facilities such as Monash University, Binus University, Prasetiya Mulya University, IPEKA BSD, Jakarta Nanyang School, and Sinarmas World Academy, as well as modern healthcare facilities such as Eka Hospital BSD, supporting an urban and professional lifestyle.

The Banten IETH SEZ is also integrated with various toll road networks: Serpong-Balaraja Toll Road (Serbaraja) Sections 1A & 1B, Jakarta-Serpong Toll Road integrated with JORR 1, JORR 2 Toll Road (Soekarno Hatta Airport - Kunciran - Serpong - Cinere - Cimanggis - Cibitung - Cilincing), Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, and Jagorawi Toll Road.

Mobility to/from Powell Studio Loft is also supported by various public transportation options, ranging from BSD Link buses, BSD City feeder buses, to the KRL Commuter Line via Cisauk Station in the Intermoda BSD City area.

In the future, connectivity will become even more optimal with the opening of Jatake Station in the first quarter of 2026, as well as the planned study for the development of the Lebak Bulus–Serpong MRT line.
